Eight reasons neighbors come by.
Every section sketches what the trouble tends to involve, how sessions approach it and the visit range people commonly need. Background reading, not a diagnosis — your own outline is written at the first appointment.
GB20 · Typically 4–6 visits
Head & jaw
Band-like headaches rising from the skull base, jaw soreness first thing in the morning, clicking that fades in and out. The trail often leads to the neck plus overworked chewing muscles during the night.
Sessions cover the neck, jaw and temples with slender needles, including a skull-base point (GB20) familiar to many headache sufferers. Most visitors also take home a single habit tweak — typically monitor height or nighttime clenching.
- Band-like headaches and skull-base tightness
- Waking jaw soreness and nighttime clenching
- Reassessment at session four; written outline from session one
GB21 · Typically 3–6 visits
Neck & shoulders
A neck that resists turning, a ridge across the shoulder tops, soreness that gathers over screen hours. Desk setups cause most of it; older whiplash and side-sleeping account for much of the rest.
Care centers on the upper trapezius, neck and shoulder-blade region, frequently pairing needles with cupping to free the surface musculature. You depart with one stretch and one desk adjustment.
- Rigid neck and ridges across the shoulder tops
- Desk-hour soreness and lingering whiplash stiffness
- Cupping can join the same appointment
HT7 · Typically 6–8 visits
Stress & sleep
A churning mind after lights-out, waking in the small hours, a chest that stays braced through the day. Broken nights and daytime strain tend to travel as a pair, so sessions address both.
Needling favors settling points on the wrists, ears and feet (HT7 is the well-known one), followed by an extended rest in a warmed, darkened room. Many visitors log their first unbroken night well before the midpoint of the course.
- Difficulty drifting off or staying asleep
- Daytime strain and a braced chest
- A bedtime wind-down sequence to keep
BL23 · Typically 4–8 visits
Low back
A twinge on bending, rigidity while getting upright, dullness after highway miles. The low-back trouble reaching us is largely mechanical — joints and muscle rather than discs — and tends to answer care well.
Needles go to spots across the low back, hips and outer legs, regularly joined by heat and cupping. The middle of the range for a newcomer here is six sessions, reassessed each fourth one.
- First-thing rigidity and bending twinges
- Dullness after driving, lifting or desk time
- Middle of the range: 6 sessions, not 30
ST36 · Typically 6–10 visits
Digestion
Fullness after eating, unpredictable bowels, stamina that fades by mid-afternoon. Digestive complaints shift gradually, so this course runs longer — and responds well to modest eating adjustments.
Sessions use spots on the legs, abdomen and ears (ST36 below the knee does heavy lifting) alongside a look at everyday meals. No cleanses, no kits, nothing for sale at reception.
- Post-meal fullness and unpredictable digestion
- Mid-afternoon stamina dips
- Straightforward food notes, no products pushed
SP6 · Typically 8–12 visits
Fertility & pregnancy
Cycle steadiness while trying, early-pregnancy queasiness, late-pregnancy backache and breech positioning. Priya liaises with your OB or midwife whenever you ask.
Needling stays gentle across the legs, low back and ears, recalibrated by trimester. Weekly sessions are the norm through a cycle or the closing month.
- Cycle steadiness and conception support
- Queasiness, backache and rest in pregnancy
- In step with your birth provider
LI20 · Typically 4–6 visits
Allergies & sinuses
Spring stuffiness that lingers, weight behind the eyes, a nose that drips from October into May. Sessions land best in the weeks before your hardest season arrives.
Needles visit spots on the face, hands and feet (LI20 flanking the nostrils lends the section its name) with light stimulation. Seasonal visitors often come weekly for a month, then only as required.
- Seasonal stuffiness and sinus weight
- Begin four weeks ahead of allergy season
- Sits comfortably beside your regular medication
GB34 · Typically 4–8 visits
Sports & overuse
Runners’ knees, climbers’ elbows, shoulders that grumble after pool sessions. Overuse troubles call for hands-on care plus workload sense — sessions deliver both.
Elena needles around the injury, never forcefully into it, placing points above and below the joint (GB34 by the knee is the sinew classic). Training usually continues in modified form through most courses.
- Tendons, joints and repetition strain
- Workouts modified, seldom paused
- Return-to-sport markers set down in writing
