Neck & shoulders.
A neck that resists turning and a ridge of tension across the tops of the shoulders — the desk worker's signature, and what loosens it.

What it tends to involve
Glancing over your shoulder gets harder as the week wears on, and a knot settles where the neck runs into the trapezius. Screen hours are the usual engine; an old whiplash or side-sleeping posture often adds its share.
The top layer of muscle shortens and stays shortened, pulling the head forward and the shoulders up. Care has to release that surface sheet while calming the deeper guarding underneath — needles handle the second, cupping the first.
Sessions & course
What sessions look like
Sessions work the upper trapezius, the neck and the ground between the shoulder blades, frequently pairing needles with cupping in the same appointment. You leave with one stretch for the week and one adjustment to the workstation that caused it.
Most courses land between three and six sessions. Desk-driven cases often turn quickly once the setup changes; older injuries take the longer end and may fold in massage with June.
- Rigid neck and ridges across the shoulder tops
- Desk-hour soreness and lingering whiplash stiffness
- Cupping can join the same appointment
