Needling, minus the mystique.

Slender sterile needles, points picked from your background and pulse, and a warmed 25-minute rest. Opening visit $95 · return sessions $80.

Acupuncturist inserting a fine needle

The needles

Slender and once-only.

A needling filament runs roughly a hair’s breadth — a different object entirely from an injection needle. Every one arrives in a sealed sterile sleeve, serves a single session, and leaves as medical sharps.

Insertion registers as little or nothing for most visitors. Typical sensations are a dull fullness, warmth or weight near a point, generally gone within a minute.

Point choice

Picked, never routine.

The classical map holds 361 points and our working set is a fraction of it. Yours are drawn from your background, pulse, tongue and reactive spots found by palpation — then talked through before any needle appears.

A standard hour uses 10 to 20 needles, largely on the limbs, ears and scalp. Spots near the complaint get balanced with ones farther afield.

The rest

Twenty-five warmed minutes.

Then the lights drop and you settle with the needles in for roughly 25 minutes of room warmth. Most visitors drift off. A call bell stays within reach and we look in midway.

Taking the needles out is fast and barely registered. You depart with one habit to test and your written outline.

Course of care

How many sessions?

Fresh complaints commonly take 4 to 8 sessions; entrenched ones 6 to 12. Your number arrives in writing at session one, with a reassessment each fourth — when the course stops helping, the course stops.

Weekly rhythm is standard at first, widening as gains hold. Browse conditions for per-concern ranges.
